Halloween open scrimmage – 26 October 2025
The Rockcity Rollers are happy to announce our annual Halloween scrimmage, this year on October 26th 2025.
This annual event draws skaters and officials from all over the Netherlands to Eindhoven. Roller derby is a contact and show sport on roller skates that’s fun to watch, especially when played in costume.
An announcer will explain the rules, a DJ will provide cool music, and there will be snacks and a raffle.

CALLING ALL DERBY LEGENDS!
Lace up and throw down one more time: to celebrate Dom City Roller Derby’s 15-year anniversary, we’re hosting a special Exhibition Bout just for retired and alumni skaters! Whether you hung up your skates five months or fifteen years ago, this is your chance to remind everyone you’re still a threat on eight wheels.

This ‘event’ exists to indicate that the calendar is not broken – roller derby leagues simply do not often play during the summer months. When they do (and assuming I know about it), I will of course post about it here.

We would like to invite all skaters and derby lovers over to Rotterdam again to celebrate with us during our Fun Friday Pride Scrimmage.
Be welcome to come over and cheer for derby! What is roller derby!? If you’ve never seen derby before, there will be people in the crowd who can explain, but in the meantime, watch this:

On Saturday May 10, Roller Derby Groningen will be presenting another home event; but in a different style than usual.
Players play two games (2×20 minutes), then officiate the third!

Roller Derby Disco i.s.m. Arnhem Fallen Angels
Holy moly! Aansluitend op hun Spring Fling Scrimmage organiseren de Arnhem Fallen Angels een heuse Roller Derby Disco in Café Kroon. En iedereen is welkom! Dat wordt een partijtje vet!
Arnhem Fallen Angels is opgericht in april 2011 en dé club van Arnhem en omstreken die ‘flat track roller derby’ beoefent. Wablief? Dat is een nogal pittige, maar geweldig toffe contactsport op rolschaatsen waarbij twee teams van vijf skaters tegen elkaar strijden. Zondagmiddag 16 maart is er een voorjaarstoernooi in Sporthal Elderveld. En aansluitend kan iedereen met z’n skates los op de dansvloer van Café Kroon. Ook als je niet hebt meegedaan ben je van harte welkom, met of zonder je eigen skates. Dus dat belooft een geweldig feestje te worden!
Voor wie Café Kroon nog niet kent: Kroon is – zoals de naam al zegt – een café en géén sporthal. Dus hier wordt meteen het wereldrecord gelegd voor de allerkleinste locatie waar ooit een roller disco heeft plaatsgevonden. Maar hey: de sfeer is goed, de muziek wordt vet, er is drank tot aan de horizon en met een beetje lekker weer kun je ook buiten lekker los.
Dus: tot zondag de 16e bij Café Kroon!
PS: Als je met de auto uit Elderveld komt, parkeer dan in de parking achter de MediaMarkt. Scheelt je een boel gedoe en is lekker dichtbij (ca. 2 minuten lopen of 30 seconden skaten)
